Marjorie Hunt, such a familiar figure in the Gardens for many years died in the first few days of January.
She retired to Braintree and became a pillar of St. Peter’s Church in Bocking, looking after the grounds and garden of the Church and being a most reliable sidesman at all services.
She loved these Gardens and was a familiar sight eating her sandwiches and keeping an eye out for anything amiss.
She will be hugely missed in both places and by the enormous number of fiends who knew and loved her. We shall hope to plant a tree in her memory.
